Information:

Sensei Meladee Stackpoole began her martial arts training in 1964 under the instruction of Shihan Jim Stackpoole at the Sandgate RSL Youth Club on the northern outskirts of Brisbane.

Over the years she has won many State and National titles in Judo, including being the only lightweight ever to win the coveted Women's Open AAJA title.

She has instructed in clubs throughout the State of Queensland and has been guest coach/instructor during an organised representative tour of New Zealand in 1979.

In 1982 she married Shihan Jim, and has assisted him in instructing at clubs in Rockhampton, Mount Isa, Townsville, Innisfail and Brisbane. She regularly coaches at Zillmere and Sandgate PCYCs.

She holds the rank of Black Belt 2nd Dan in Judo, issued by the International Judo Federation in 1986 and is an accredited NCAS coach. Sensei Meladee was promoted to Black Belt 3rd Dan in Jujitsu in 2004.
